Okay, how many of us have reinstalled mozilla (or NS4.x for that matter)
or made some other change, where you start up Mail and your previous
mail and news accounts don't show up any more? I've seen quite a few
posts with confused questions about this, and I have experienced it myself.

Right now, I know that prefs.js contains a lot of information about your
various accounts, and I have three folders: ImapMail, Mail, and News.
It would be great if the appropriate prefs.js for each of my accounts
were spread out into files in each of these directories.

That way, I could take my News folder and copy it to another profile
directory. Then mozilla would start up with that profile, see news, get
the prefs from the news directory, and load it appropriately.

This kind of behavior would be so much better than the way NS4.x and
Mozilla determine your mail settings (which seems to involve voodoo
sometimes). It would also be nice to be able to nuke my prefs (for
troubleshooting purposes) without endangering all of my messages.

I just wanted to post this here before filing a bug to get opinions.
