The only way I've found to do this was to setup independent profiles on 
each platform, & then modify the "Local directory" setting for each 
server 
(edit->Mail_NG_Account_Settings->ServerProfile->ServerSettings->LocalDirectory) 
to point to a commonly accessible set of folders. Is a hassle setting up 
profiles on each OS, but atleast the folder contents work across each.
