I finally got around to setting up my newsgroups in 6.1 and since I
don't see the answers in the program, I'll throw out a couple of
questions here.
1. Is there a way to create sub-folders in the newgroup program to put
newsgroups in, as there is with bookmarks for example. I subscribe
a lot of groups and would like to group them in folders.
2. How do I get the newsreader to actually purge messages that are
older than X days? I have it set up to do this but it doesn't seem
to work, or I don't understand how to do it. I am thinking about
both the total messages in parenthesies after the newsgroup and the
messages I have previously downloaded to a newsgroup that sit there
forever unless I delete them.
3. How do you get a message you marked as unread to go away? I don't
by viewing only unread messages either. Can't you just delete it
perminately from the files of that particular newsgroup?
4. Is there a way to delete a message/thread in several newsgroups at
once (crossposting spam)?
