This is obviously annoying.
2. Only accept mail from a dial-up ip. If you use several isps (which
apparently people do) then you have to remember to switch server
in your prefs. Unfortunately Mozilla doesn't seem to have an easy
way to do this, even if you configure the list of servers.
3. Transparently proxy SMTP so it doesn't matter what your setting
is. If all ISPs did this then everyone could set their SMTP server
to 11.22.33.44 and it would still work :-)
