this bug might be related, but I haven't had any problems in regards to
"download all messages" - the problem occurs when the browser attempts to
download more headers than are present in a newsgroup. Set the number of
messages to download to 50, marking remaining messages read. Go to another
newsgroup, download all headers, and mark all but 200 messages read, go to
another newsgroup, then back to the group with only 200 messages. When the
dialogue pops up, change the number of messages to download back to 500, with
mark all remaining selected - the browser will download more headers than
actually available, and crash at or around 480 headers.
