I wanted to write a bug on this but I cannot figure out whether it would be considered a browser or mail/news bug. From a user perspective it is a mail/news bug but it really has to do with the interface between the two.
The problem is that when I click on a link in a mail message I'm reading, the browser window does successfully display the page referenced by the URL, but the browser window is not raised to the foreground and I have to do that manually. This is in 0.9.6 (and for quite a while prior to that) under RedHat Linux 7.1 with Ximian Gnome. I do not believe it is a window manager problem because clicking on the "M" (browser) icon in the lower-left corner does cause the browser window to be raised. I did not find any mention of this bug in the 0.9.6 Release Notes. -- David
