Do you know which IMAP server you're hitting, if it is Cyrus, you have a problem.

There's two prefs, you can use either ""Sent" Folder on:" or "Other:". The first
(which it sounds like you are using) will create a folder called "Sent" in the root of
your IMAP namespace. The other lets you specify a folder anywhere.

Now, the problem when using Cyrus is that AFAIK Moz will attempt to create the "Sent"
folder in the root of your IMAP server's namespace, i.e. alongside "INBOX". Cyrus
won't allow this (your folders must be children of INBOX) and so you get the
"Permission denied" error.

The workaround is to create a child of INBOX called, (say, "Sent") and
use trhe second pref ("Other:") to explicitly specify that.

Bug 94430 <http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94430> is
probably the one to watch.

HTH,
Mike.
