A bug for the developers to fix: I am using
Netscape 6.2 on Windows NT, Service Pack 6a. I have my timed
eMail set for 10 minutes. My connection to the Internet
is over a V.90 external (hardware) modem.
If I am downloading when my timed eMail triggers, I will
occasionally get a pop up message stating that the eMail reader could
not contact the server. When this message pop up, my download
countdown stops as well. After I click okay, the download
continues. After that, when I try to use the download, it
usually turn up corrupted. (Then, I turn off all my mail windows,
download the file again, and everything turns out okay. My
green arrow will occasionally pop up if I receive eMail, but
as long as I don't have an eMail window open, there is no harm.)
This problem is not reproducible under Netscape 4.7x.
