Look at Edit -> Preferences -> Navigator -> Languages and make sure that Default Character Coding is set to "Western (ISO-8859-1)" or "Western (ISO-8859-15)". (I'm not sure if this will fix it, though. I've never had any problems with the ��� characters...) -- Joni
