System Status: Windows 98SE + SP1, Communicator 4.75
533 MHz Celeron, 128 MB RAM, 20GB HD
Not sure how the Mail Server setting has to be done:
a) is it the mail server of my ISP, or Webmail
b) if it's Webmail, is it the POP3 (ncmail.netscape.com) or the IMAP
(imap.mail.netcenter.com)
c) if it's IMAP, does the SSL have to be checked
d) does the mail server setting in Com 4.75 have anything to do with the
posting of msgs in an NG?
(isn't the ISP transparent once you are already connected to the
Internet?)
e) When I hit the send button I get the following system response:
Dialog box pops up and says "Message sent/Waiting for Reply"
Final Error message after time-out:
A Network Error occurred while Netscape was receiving data
(Connection reset by peer)
I can't figure what is wrong here. Any hint is appreciated. Thanks
