Yeah, allright, I mis-spoke :-[ , that's what I'd done.  It works fine, it just seems curious :-\  that folders must come off Inbox. I posted a query in their dedicated newsgroup  www.emailaddresses.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=17    I observed that their top software man says Mozilla 0.9.7 release IMAP services are an optimum  compromise between convenience and features.
