Netscape 6 and Mozille 0.9.7 cannot correctly import addressbooks from Netscape 4.79

I have repeatedly tried to import into Netscape 6.2 or Mozilla 0.9.7
addressbooks created in Netscape 4.79.  The importing process always
leaves the new addressbooks very incomplete; something like half of the
addresses and lists are discarded!
