install certificates permanently?

I access my IMAP account using SSL. The certificate is self generated, 
and doesn't exactly match the hostname of the mail server, so I get 
prompted to accept the certificate whenever I first open mozilla to 
check my mail. How can I install the certificate permanently to avoid 
this message?
