Did you happen to install Netscape 6.x before? If I'm not mistaken AIM is
packaged with Netscape and somehow your profile and preferences is still
pointing to it. If you are not using the sidebar disable it by pressing F9 and 
if you are usnig it I think there is a file sidebar.rdf in your profile 
directory which you can edit/delete to stop that annoying popup.
