Hi everyone,
I'm sure this question has been asked a million times but it still
doesn't work for me.
I'm not able to change the sound when a new mail has come in ? I'm
running Netscape 6.2.1 French version on XP French. I tried several
things that I found on the web but without any success. I tried the
following :
1) Add the following line in the perfs.js
user_pref("mail.biff.play_sound",true);
user_pref("mail.biff.use_default_sound", false);
user_pref("mail.biff.sound_file", "C:\\Windows\\Media\\notify.wav");
Result : No sound at all after that. I've also tried playing around
these 3 lines without any success. It's either the default windows
sound or no sound at all.
2) Went to the windows\control pannel\sounds and audio and select a new
sounds under the mail notification
Result : always hear the same default Windows sound.
Can somebody help me ?
