How to add additional headers in News? (Mac)

Where can I add additional headers for news postings? Like:
X-No-Archive or X-Face. Found no option in Mozilla 0.9.7 (Mac OS 9).
  
BTW: Is the reason for being so slow that the frontend is written in
Java? Is this the planned final solution?
