At one point I suspected it was my adsl connection's fault: I've been having loads of trouble posting forms via the browser (any browser) since I've got adsl (unfortunately, a lot of things happened around the days I got my adsl, so I can't for sure blame it exactly on one). I've just tried using my dial-up again and my post form problems seem to have evaporated (but let's not shout victory too early, they seemed to be on and off anyway).
