Serious problems in importing from MSOutlook 2000 on Win2000: 'cannot create proxy object' msg

Hi all.
   I am trying to import a very large (~140Mb) database of e-mails
from MSOutlook 2000 to Mozilla 0.9.8

After a short while I get the following error message:

"Unable to import mailboxes, cannot create proxy object
for destination mailboxes".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
