It imports PKCS#12 files which includes those which the Backup option 
creates.

To go back to the original query... You can export certificates from OE 
via the certificate wizard in MSIE:

Tools->Internet Options->Content->Certificates->Export

However IIRC S/MIME is at an early stage of integration in Mozilla and 
may not be in 6.2 at all.
