Yes it is. No problems with e.g. Netscape 4.7. In the meantime I found out, that the problem ist specific to certain smtp servers (e.g. rumms.uni-mannheim.de) AND mozilla (not with Netscape 4.7). I am behind a NAT router (TDSL router).
