Mozilla doesn't response to a entered URL in the URL input line

Hi all,

my Mozilla doesn't want to go to URLs I'm giving it via the URL input 
line in the Browser. Seems to be a profile problem, because a reinstall 
didn't help.
Anyone an idea what's going wrong?
