Whenever you see something like this,you could have a problem with the summary files.They are hidden,as far as I know in the Profile folder. If not,great,if so,you have to uncheck a couple places through View in XP. Hopefully you can find it.I do not have XP,here.Anyway delete the Inbox.msf file.
