1. the problem didn't go away. I need to a page-up or page-down
    to force the multi-hilite problem.

2. rather than going for fanzy features, is it a better idea
to get all good, old, dearly wanted Netscape Messenger
features back first, Mr. Mozilla the team leader?

The go-to-message is still broken. The current work is just
a hack. It sounds like a design flaw. Messenger should be
like the DBEDIT() in Clipper5 or BRWOSE in FoxPro, ie a
record browser. But it seems that the focus was placed on
    new look-and-feel....

Anyway, I could compose messages.
So I switched back from stable release 0.9.7 to this one.
