Oh, I don't know.. it's not *that* important when you're sniffing cocaine. Anyway, # of lines is just another arbitarty way of measuring the length of a message, just like using imerial units for measuring just about anything instead of good ol' metric - the only reason reason people are still using imperial units these days is because of a historical preccedent. Same with measuring USENET posts in lines. You get used to it after a while.
