I agree but, until it does, you need a workround and UUDeview is an 
excellent solution (which I forgot to mention is free :-))

BTW, I use UUDeview for finding attachments in mailboxes. It will handle 
mail boxes several hundred megabytes in size, containing 1000's of mails 
and hundreds of attachments.
