Joanna Check that the path set in your mail account settings points to the directory where your mail is. Open the mail & newsgroup account settings (Edit menu)and the path to your mail directory is shown under 'Server Settings' (Local Directory).
If this is pointing to the right place then it may be because when you copied the mail files the attributes changed (e.g. if you burnt them on a CD) - check that the mail files are not set to 'Read only'. If that doesn't work, then I suggest setting up a totally new profile with new accounts and only copying accross the mail files themselves (not the indexes that are called *.msf) into the new account folders (replacing the new inbox / sent / drafts etc).
