His user-agent says:

| User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98)

IE 5.5 is a browser, not a newsreader.

Outlook Express doesn't use the "user-agent" header. It has
"X-Newsreader", for example:

| X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2600.0000

Another characteristic of Outlook Express is the "two lines" header for
the content-type:
| Content-Type: text/plain;
|
charset="iso-8859-1"

most other newsreaders out there have a one-liner:

| Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1;

And finally, the program he posted with uses

| Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed
                                              ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

MS-Products (at least on the Win platform) do not use format=flowed.

So chances are high that Lancer uses a Mozilla with a spoofed
user-agent. Really, shame shame, Lancer. Lancer, never heard of Mozilla
evangelism? And btw, it is custom in the Mozilla groups to use a real name.
