I've noticed it seems better in 0.9.9. Getting an empty window is not the best thing in the world but I can live with it. Having Mozilla crash and then delete the entire cache on start-up was getting irritating. Why does Mozilla delete the cache after a crash? I read somewhere it was because it couldn't know what state the cache was in but it has the little database files which should give some info. Since I rather like using favicons, I'd rather not have my cache deleted and have maybe one or two cache files hanging round that aren't in use than keep on losing all the icons (or maybe they could be stored elsewhere, but then, they'd probably have to be deleted too....)
