I use http://razor.sourceforge.net/ which works OK, but more and
more spam is 'personalised' so it gets through.

I filter on charset (I can't read most far-east character sets
so there's no point in accepting mail with them) and also the
following domains in the Recieved (not From) line:

hetnet.nl
webcams.com
prontomail.com
currentmail.com
advertising.com
azoogle.com
postlite.com
postmastergeneral.com
pm0.net

Razor catches 3 a day, the above filter catches 6, I have to
hand-delete 5. All those numbers are doubled at the weekend.
I'm not counting mail sent to mailing lists I subscribe to,
since that doesn't land in my in-box.

I use mutt for mail and tin for news, and never hide my email
address.
