Actually I reinstalled the new xpi versions last night and that fixed the problem! I assumed the spellcheckers that worked with moz0.9.9 with moz0.9.9+. When I reinstalled the new ones, it seems to be working fine
So your guess was right - I had the wrong version. Thanks. I should have posted earlier but I was still testing to see if it was working properly. And so far it is with out any problems!
