mozilla -P <myprofile> works for me though it doesn't respect component startup preferences. Try putting a space between -P and the argument. The quotes aren't necessary, but shouldn't matter. Yep, just confirmed that mozilla -P "<myprofile>" works but mozilla -P"<myprofile>" doesn't.
