I presume that you have set up the Directory Server in the Preferences under Mail & NewsGroups -> Addressing -> Edit Directories.. To check that you have set up the Host and BaseDn correctly, click the checkbox against your Directory Server for: "when addressing messages, please look for matching entries in" Then run Compose New Message and check that if you type in the first number of characters that the AutoCompletion works. If this works, then you need to exit Mozilla and re-start and you should see your Directory Server appear as an address book. You will need to enter a search string to activate it.
