Just a thought, but in the more recent versions of NS and Mozilla, it's possible to disable java for mail/news via the user interface. I believe it's under Prefs|Advanced|Scripts and Windows. Perhaps you can first disable Java for mail/news, then delete it? Mark -- e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
