Well, where you went wrong was A: Mozilla != Netscape. Especially Netscape 4.xx, a completely different beast from Netscape 6+/7. Netscape started the Mozilla project. Netscape hosts Mozilla's newsgroups on their server. Netscape uses Mozilla's code in combination with their own proprietary code to form their browser, but then so do Beonix, Galeon, K-meleon, etc. Netscape does not equal Mozilla, and Mozilla does not equal Netscape. > > So what is this newsgroup for anyways? > Mozilla Mail and News. > >>You want snews://secnews.netscape.com/netscape.communicator > > > There does not appear to be a newsgroup called "netscape.communicator" > on that news server. Sure there is! See below: > > Is there no "real" circulating newsgroup on the internet devoted to > Communicator 4.xx questions / issues? Try snews://secnews.netscape.com:563/netscape.communicator If that doesn't work, try http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&group=netscape.communicator Hope that cleared things up a bit for you! :) -- ~/Garth "Give me ambiguity or give me something else."
