Hello,

in general this happens if the message-id of a message in a newsgroup
isn't unique. The message-id is part of the message header (try CTRL-U).
As you can see, the message-id consists of a unique (hopefully) number
followed by an "@" and (mostly) the domain part of the email address
from which the message was posted. If there are more than one messages
with the same message-id, the older one will expire - you are not able
to read it anymore.

  Alex
