The Space key is trapped at the window level and will always page down the message pane. However Page Up and Page Down is trapped at the tree or pane level, so you need to tab or Ctrl+Tab to the message pane to use them. Note that the Quick Search bar is also in the tab order. -- Warning: May contain traces of nuts.
