Newbie seeking advice on Newsgroup NoSpam Address.

Am using the email and newsgroup functions of Netscape Communicator 4.79

I see newsgroup postings with a sender's address that displays as
something like "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" or "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" The
sender's posting says or it's evident that to reply with a regular
email, one needs to eliminate "nospam" wherever appears to create a
valid address.

I wish to display a slightly altered sender email address appear on
postings I send to newsgroups, to cut down on spam emails. This altered
sender address would be for newsgroups postings only. However, on
sending normal emails, I wish to have my proper, unaltered email address
shown as sender.

Netscape seems to allow only one email address under identity
preferences (other than reply to, which doesn't accomplish what I need).

How can I either have a special address for only newsgroup postings or
manually alter my address on newsgroup postings I'm about to make.
Regarding the latter, I would not wish to have to change identity
preferences each time. But I'd be willing to change just the "sender"
address if I could get to it for a particular posting I'm about to send.

Any other ideas welcomed.

Thanks, Len
