Can't edit emails - Problem returned

I had a problem where I couldn't edit any fields in the email composer.

I did a reinstall of Mozilla and it fixed the problem for a few days. 
Now the problem has returned.  I had to go back to a pre-1.0 release to 
write this.

Any ideas?
