Mozilla 1.0 (win) all of a sudden could not send mail. the problem was traced down to the client.
So I decided to create a new account under mozilla, which worked fine. Now I could send, except I cannot get the mail copied over. I've used the import feature but it see's no accounts at all. I've copied the mailboxes into the new account directories but it does not see it. (This includes updating the dir setting under servers. So it seems clear there's some other mechanism that says what to read. I tried hacking some config files but to no avail. (Yes there are backups : ) The next option is now to get it from the horses mouth so to speak. Someone must know how to do this. Steve
