I just did the silliest thing. Set up 3 email accounts under the same Profile, all with the same provider (softhome!). then i realised they use SMTP autentication, so i enabled it. Then realised i could use SSL, so enabled it too. and then, decided to create 3 smtp servers, one for each account. of course, it was the same server 3 times, but with a different login (to avoid revealing passwords), since this has to be specified in the prefs.
and mail started crashing on mail sent. i narrowed it down to Mozilla mail crashing when using SMTP with SSL, and the crash happens only when the server is found. It worked fine before. I havent tried with a different SMTP server. prefs.js looks normal, but im no expert either. im ok without SSL, its just that topcrashes drive me crazy oh and news misbehaved for a while after it... coincidence? comments? ideas? btw... this is my first post to this forum, be kind =)
