I think this is correct behaviour, but see below. > > Also, looking at that .mailboxlist file, I assume I need two entries for > a subscribed box: > > mail/path/to/file <--- to show it exists > ~/mail/path/to/file <--- to show I'm subscribed > > At least, my .mailboxlist file has entries like that for all my > subscribed boxes. > You may check the "Advanced IMAP settings" for your IMAP account: Server Settings -> Advanced. Try to uncheck the checkbox "Show only subscribed folders" My .mailboxlist contains only entries of the form mail/path/to/file, pathnames relative to the home directory resp. the directory where .mailboxlist resides. My mail folders are in a Subdirectory "Mail" in the home directory; to get the folders without the Mail prefix in mozilla, I set the "IMAP server directory" to Mail/. Disclaimer: this applies to the Mark Crispin IMAP server running on Linux. > Finally, what is the "Maximum number of server connections to cache" > setting do? My impression is that Mozilla (on Linux) is not slower than OE on W98. I do not have Mozilla on W98. > > - Colin > Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 > Wolfgang
