Actually, I empty trash and compact all folders everyday. I get 30-40
emails a day, 75% spam, so I have to do this.

BTW, this is my second NS 7 install. After this happened the first
time, I uninstalled NS 7 and deleted all its folders. I then checked
to make sure those old emails didn't exist in 4.73.
Sure enough, after the second installation, they showed up again.
