Out of office notice to mail senders

I understand that Outlook has this ability.  If you are out of the
office, or on vacation, an e-mail is sent to anyone sending you mail
to inform them of your absence.  I've seen no such option in Mozilla. 
Is there an update or program from a user that offers this ability? 
If not, do the Mozilla designers have any intention to create the
option?  It is a wonderful tool for business people.  Our company
avoids IE and Outlook unless we have no choice.
