After being backed for for various problems, most significantly the complete mac bustage. I have created a new branch.

We have about 4 problems that we need to solve before thinking about landing
1. get the mac working. I will look at doing this. (68397)
2. break the cycles caused by the stream proxy code. (68469)
3. fix cache. content information is lost when it was converted to be a nsITransport implementation. (68392)
4. Fix the random nitpicks and bugs found.
