I'd like to start a discussion here about what is needed to finish off
bug 53080. If anyone has a way of measuring bug sizes, and can prove
this bug is the largest, I'll think of some reward for you, because that
will strengthen my case.
I think there are several issues that need to be discussed:
1- What is the minimal functionality that would cause PAC to be
resolved/fixed?
My guess would be to test three, one-line pac files that each return one
of the three PAC directives ("DIRECT", "PROXY", and "SOCKS").
2- What are the remaining PAC problems that need to be documented and
fixed?
3- What kind of standardization or documentation can we have for
FindProxyforURL() as implemented in Mozilla?
I have started a document, and once it becomes readable, I will post the
URL here.
I am also considering taking a "collection" from people of their PAC
files, to see what aspects of your networks need to be accommodated in
testing. Please reply to me directly if you think that is a good idea.

Since this I have raised a couple issues, if you are going to give long
