In either case, file a bug please; it sounds like things are racing for access to some sort of shared resource, with bad side-effects. Attach whatever diffs are needed to reproduce the problem without multiple filepickers being posed to the bug. And if it's a problem in Seamonkey, cc me and biesi.

Oh yeah, biesi is already on the distribution list for the bug.
oops, I just attached requested diff to the bug, but forgot about supressing the filepickers... will do so shortly (a quick fix will be ugly)
