Is there any known way to either extend the chrome protocol handler or install a protocol handler into the chrome registry to be able to map certain chrome URLs in a package to an XPCOM component? I've seen several protocol handler examples, but I'd like to be able to use URL's in the form of chrome://<mypackage>/<myid>/<myparameters>.
