Not the VAC++ PM because there would be incompatibility problems like
those we're seeing with the jpeg, png and z libraries.

In the case of EMX, most of the DLLs are identical. But there are a few
where X11 takes one route and PM another, and only one path ends up in
the binaries. This could probably be handled by using runtime flags, and
may well be worth doing to eliminate the annoyance of having to close
one before launching the other.
