I've seen similar behavior from 4.61. The same file 2.02 loads instantly
4.61 sometimes pauses loading forever. I select another local page to
load, then come back to it and usually then it loads right up.
I've got one local page I just created yesterday that Mozilla will never
ever load under any circumstances I can find, while 2.02 doesn't mess
around at all. Even 4.61 loads it pretty quickly. Page contains about 4
Mb in about 40 jpgs.
As to Mozilla, while loading off disk can be very slow, most pages on
the net seem to load up completely, but RARELY does Mozilla put "done"
on the status bar. Usually the only way to get rid of the progress
indicator is to hit the stop button.
