I've tried both an .exe file and a .zip file. I have its URL in
the notepad. I put the cursor in the navigation field, go to the
'Edit" menu item, and select 'Paste'. Then I make sure the cursor
is in the navigation field, and press <enter>. My modem lights
blink for a while, but the mozilla screen shows no further change.

What I believe is happening is that mozilla has copied the file into
its display area, but has not bothered to show me any characters.

What I would LIKE is to have mozilla download the file to the current
directory. In Netscape, I can make that happen by holding down <shift>
as I press <enter>. But mozilla *ignores* the <enter> if <shift> is
being held!

How do I get mozilla to DOWNLOAD the file whose URL appears in the
navigation field ?

----

Also, everything is NOT allright with the ftp: protocol (latest 0228
mozilla). I typed in a 'ftp:' directory URL and pressed <enter>.
Mozilla didn't show me anything. I clicked on 'Reload' and mozilla
*did* show me the directory. I clicked on one of the files (to
download it). Mozilla gave me a pop-up about the file extension,
then gave me the OS/2 file dialog pop-up, then gave me the progress
bar window. But when the "progress" completed, there was NOTHING
in my current directory.

----

WHOOPS: I notice that even the screens I clicked File -> Save_as
did __not__ get saved to my harddisk.
